ARE THEY ALL TALK? (INTRO.)

Us Capitol, Washington Dc, America

HOW CAN WE TELL IF A CANDIDATE, POLITICIAN, PARTY, LAWMAKER etc., IS JUST PLAYING LIP SERVICE TO "SUPPORTING THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE?", AND IS ACTUALLY PROMOTING HARMFUL LEGISLATION?

-  Look at past QUOTES AND SPEECHES REGARDING OTHER TOPICS, ISSUES, OR PROPOSED LEGISLATION.  Did They Predict Dire Consequences if the Opposition Prevailed?  Did Their DOOM AND GLOOM PREDICTIONS SEEM TO BE AN EXTREME OVERREACTION?

-  If They have been on the Losing End of EITHER SUPPORTING OR OPPOSING A PARTICULAR PIECE OF LEGISLATION, HOW CLOSE WERE THEY TO THE TRUTH IN PREDICTING THE OUTCOME, IN CASE THEIR ADVICE WASN'T FOLLOWED?

-  Listen Carefully to the claim that certain INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS, AND PARTS OF SOCIETY/ELECTORATE WILL BENEFIT FROM SUPPORTING THE POSITION BEING TAKEN.  How likely is this to be True?  What Type of
Argument or Evidence can they produce to support this Conclusion.

-  WHEN CRITICIZING THE OPPOSITIONS VIEWPOINT, DO THEY RELY ON AD HOMINEM ATTACKS, OR CAN THEY CITE VALID REASONS THAT BACK UP THEIR CONCLUSIONS ABOUT THE JUDGMENTS BEING MADE BY THOSE WHO ARE AGAINST THEM?

-  CAN THEY PERSONALLY BENEFIT FROM ADVOCATING A PARTICULAR
STANCE ON AN ISSUE, AND IF SO, IS IT AFFECTING THE JUDGMENTS BEING MADE?

We’re the next front on gun control.

David,

Sadly, we’ve seen this scenario play out before:

A mass shooting occurs. Our do-nothing President caves into the gun lobby. The Republican-controlled Senate refuses to act. While families and communities mourn their lost ones, politicians offer thoughts and prayers -- but nothing changes.

Virginia can be different.

The New York Times  had this headline recently: “The Next Front in the Fight Over Gun Control? Virginia.”

The article highlights how our November election will be the first test of gun rights and gun safety measures as a voting issue, particularly if Democrats take control of the General Assembly.

You can read the entire article by clicking here.

David, whether it’s gun safety, making health care affordable and accessible, protecting our civil liberties, ensuring a woman’s reproductive freedom, or investing in high-quality public education, Virginia can set the pace for the rest of the country in 2019.

At WinVirginia, we’re working around the clock to train, support, and elect Democrats to the General Assembly from districts in every corner of the Commonwealth. We know what’s at stake in November -- not just for Virginia, but for the entire nation.

Thanks for your support.

TWITTER NEWS: Donald Trump delays meeting with Danish PM over lack of interest in Greenland sale.

IT'S ALMOST LIKE TRUMP IS A PARODY OF A
LEADER...OR A HUMAN BEING.

Will you take a moment to share your priorities? STACEY ABRAMS.

DAVID, I know you’re as upset as I am by what’s happening across the country right now.
Republicans are pushing Donald Trump’s agenda forward and shamelessly throwing our democratic norms out the window. I should know – when I ran for governor in Georgia in 2018, I faced a nearly impossible task: overcoming systematic voter suppression from a Republican Party that silenced too many voices.

That’s why I’m reaching out today: The future of our country depends on Democrats winning as many races in as many states as we can in 2019 and 2020. We’re working relentlessly to combat voter suppression and win, but I need top supporters like you to help us create an ambitious plan today.

Experts all agree: Democrats could win big – but only if we lay the groundwork early to defeat Donald Trump and the Republicans riding on his coattails. If we lose, we’ll be locked out of redistricting – and power – for at least a decade.

We know that when Democrats register voters, get people to the polls and flip red states blue, we make historic gains. To make that happen this cycle, to win in every corner of the map, up and down the ballot, we need to hear from you right now:

The next elections are about us. They’re our chance to fix what is broken and to call out Republicans’ misdeeds and failed policies. That’s why, on election night, I want to know every grassroots supporter has done everything they can to make sure Democrats restore democracy to our country.
We can’t let this fight pass us by, not after we’ve seen what the GOP will do to win.

I’m counting on you to make it happen, DAVID.
